Our Focus 2030 agenda is harnessed on our Differently-Abled NOT Disabled campaign under our mother goal “Global Goal 10 for Reduced Inequalities”. Specifically looking at the target that rests solely upon activities working towards the social protection and social inclusion of Persons With Disabilities in our African communities. Africa is currently prevalently under the medical model of disability that looks at one’s physical challenges as a basis for inhibition to success.
Our Differently-Abled NOT Disabled campaign stands to prompt Africa to move towards the social model of disability which ideally stems from the understanding that one is challenged in direct degree to which their society is adaptive towards their needs.
By opening up our African societies towards social inclusion and social development that fully integrates the needs of people across all physical, intellectual and mental abilities, we work towards an Africa that provides opportunity for all to thrive.
